About

What started as a memory of how my grandmother spent her time quickly became the way I wanted to spend mine.

Growing up I was always with my grandma. During the spring we would spend time together going to various nurseries and picking out plants to fill her gardens. She always let me pick out whatever I wanted (no matter how impractical they were) and I would plant them out along with her standard choices - begonias, petunias and roses.

My grandma passed in early 2019, but I’ve kept those memories close and started expanding the gardens I had at my own home. I quickly fell down the social media rabbit hole and started to watch a lot of videos by Garden Answer, which then led me to Floret, followed by a number of independent flower farmers who also shared my love for gardening. Their gardens were so inspiring to me, that I started to fill my garden with flowers that I had seen in theirs.

With COVID hitting in 2020, I focused a lot of my time outside and it was the first time I grew a cut flower garden for myself to enjoy. It was filled with zinnias, gomphrena, bells of Ireland, roses and a handful of dahlias. Once those dahilas bloomed, I knew I needed more.

I expanded my stock buying from reputable sellers online as well as the Dahlia Society of Ohio. I’ve managed to squeeze in as many cut flower varieties that I could along with just over 300 dahlias. Bouquets that are sold by me are a mix of all of these. I will occasionally order in from a wholesaler if I have an event that’s too large for what I grow, but my preference is to work with other local growers to fulfill an order.
